Overview
This section describes how to add and manage your categories in Moneris Go Retail.
Your products will be organized under categories on the Point of sale(Purchase) page. Think about the products you sell and what categories they fall into. You may want to write out the categories or record them in a spreadsheet.
Begin by creating your categories and subcategories now to make it easier to assign categories when you add your products.
Note: You can also assign categories and change categories after adding products.

Add a subcategory

If most or many of your products fall into a specific category, think about how you might look for those products. What subcategories would be useful to find products quickly when a customer is ready to make a purchase? You may want to write out the subcategories or record them in a spreadsheet.

Tip: You can create up to 9 levels of subcategories for a total of 10 levels including the top level. |

Follow these steps to delete a category or subcategory.
When you delete a category or subcategory:
- any subcategories below it will also be deleted;
- the products assigned to it, or to the subcategories below it, will be moved up to the next available level.
