Getting started
Setting up Moneris Go Restaurant
- Data Setup: Set up your restaurant in the Go Restaurant portal (data setup). This includes setting up employees, tax profiles, menu categories, modifiers, kitchen stations, and menu items. This step is the basis for all Go Restaurant operations. It is important to allow enough time to complete this as it may take several hours or longer depending on the size of your restaurant.
- Applications: Install and configure the Go Restaurant applications. This includes the Go Restaurant app on your tablet. It also includes the optional Kitchen Display System (KDS) app which runs on a separate tablet located in your kitchen(s). The KDS app requires a separate subscription.
- Payment terminal setup: Integrate your Moneris Go terminal with Go Restaurant to allow your customers to enter their payment cards and respond to payment prompts.
- Hardware setup: Set up the Go Restaurant hardware. This covers the kitchen printer which prints orders received by the Go Restaurant app. Hardware also includes the receipt printer and cash drawer.
Components
The Moneris Go Restaurant POS solution is made up of several components. Your business may use some or all of these components to help manage your day-to-day operations.
- Moneris Go Restaurant portal: The portal is a website where you can set up all aspects of your restaurant, view reports, and perform administrative tasks.
- Moneris Go Restaurant app: This app runs on an iPad and allows you to take orders. Once you send an order to the kitchen, the order will be printed on your kitchen printer or appear in the KDS app or both.
- Kitchen Display System (KDS) app (optional): The Kitchen Display app runs on a separate tablet located in your kitchen(s). Your kitchen staff will use the KDS app to view orders for preparation.
